Meld Medium ("we," "us," or "our") provides Answer Engine Marketing (AEM), website design and development, server-side conversion tracking, and related digital marketing services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through meldmedium.com and our client tools, how we use it, and how we protect it.
Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact information you provide when booking a strategy call or reaching out to us, such as your name, email, and business details
- Website URLs you submit to our free AI Search Check tool, along with the publicly accessible content of that page, which is analyzed to generate your report
- Client account data, including Google Ads and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) data, for clients using our reporting dashboard (see "Google User Data" below)
- Campaign and website performance data we collect or generate while providing conversion tracking, AEM, or web development services to a client
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the services you or your business have engaged us for (AEM strategy, website builds, conversion tracking, reporting)
- Generate the automated report produced by the free AI Search Check tool, using a third-party AI service (Anthropic) to analyze publicly available website content you submit
- Display campaign performance metrics and return-on-ad-spend (ROAS) calculations to clients using our dashboard tool
- Communicate with you about our services
Google User Data & Limited Use Disclosure
For clients who connect a Google account to our reporting dashboard, Meld Medium's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only access the Google Ads and Google Analytics data necessary to display the performance metrics described above
- We do not sell your Google user data
- We do not use your Google user data for advertising purposes
- We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless: (a) we have your affirmative consent, (b) it's necessary for security purposes, (c) it's necessary to comply with applicable law, or (d) it's aggregated, anonymized, and used solely to improve our services
Data Storage & Retention
Client performance data is stored securely and retained to provide historical reporting, even after a client's Google account is disconnected. OAuth refresh tokens are stored securely and used only to refresh access to connected accounts for the purpose of syncing data. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us below.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties except:
- With Google, as necessary to pull Google Ads/GA4 data for our dashboard tool
- With Anthropic, as necessary to generate your AI Search Check report from a publicly submitted URL
- If required by law
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted storage and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your Rights
You may disconnect a connected Google account at any time, request a copy of the data we hold about you, or request deletion of your data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
